GTBets provides American-users a decent alternative to some of the mainstream options. With great sign-up bonuses, many deposit options, and fast payouts, GTBets is a reliable option for those looking to bet on the mainstream games and markets. However, they do come up short in certain areas, especially their god-awful user interface. I am not even kidding when I write this, but I got a head-ache just by taking the screenshots for this review!

Deposit Bonuses and Promotions

When you sign up for a new account at GTBets, you will get access to all sorts of great bonuses. You will receive a match on your first deposit: Either 100% if the amount is less than $250, or 50% if the amount is higher. Most sportsbooks only offer around $150-200 in bonus dollars, which makes GTBets offering something that cannot be passed up. On top of this, you will receive various reload bonuses each time you top-up your account. All of these great rewards will automatically be applied to your account upon signing up using Frostbet’s exclusive bonus link below.

One of the most creative promotions that GTBets offer is the ability to pick your favorite football and basketball teams. Once selected, you will gain free spread-points in your favor when betting on those teams. You could either bet with your heart and pick the home-town team, or bet with your head and choose a team that you think you will be betting on frequently in the upcoming season. The decision is yours.

Availability

One of GTBets greatest benefits is that it can be used by Americans, regardless if they live outside of the state of Nevada. It is also available to Europeans. Canadians are not allowed.

User Interface

When I set out to review all of these betting sites, I was confident that I would not stumble upon a user interface that was uglier than 5Dimes. GTBets raised me all-in, turning in one of the ugliest websites I have ever seen in my life. Its really orange and really blue, which are two colors that do not work together, sister. This is an absolute disaster. You can navigate between sports, casino, and horses using the horizontal main menu. If you want to sort through sports, good luck, because you have to use a fixed scroll-bar module. Is this 1998? I have reviewed a ton of sportsbooks since launching Frostbet, but never have I seen something like this. What a piece of work.

I bet you did not see this coming but it gets worse. Finding the game or market that you want to lock in is an optical illusion. Switching between straight-bets (labeled ‘side/total’), if/reverse, and parlays are done using a drop-down menu on top of the betting interface. This is a bit unconventional, but for the most part its fine.  But when it comes to picking between moneylines, first-fives, and first inning props for baseball (as an example), it gives you a headache. I do not really need to write much more about it, just take a look for yourself in the screenshot below. Having a nice user interface is important to attracting new customers. If people get confused right off the bat, its hard to see them using your sportsbook.

This part of the review makes GTBets out to be the worst thing ever created, when in reality its not. Its actually a pretty good sportsbook, wrapped in one big flaw. And I can’t overlook it, since although our parents told us to never judge a book by its cover, more sportsbettors do just that.

I am not trying to be mean GTBets, I am just being brutally honest. Its 2015, update your interface if you want to make it in this industry.

Available Games

GTBets offers all of the major games, including some minor sports, and lower-division soccer matches. Overall, their selection of games is decent for a site that accepts American action. Unless you are looking for something that is specific and obscure, there is a good chance that GTBets will have it. You can use their left-hand scroll menu to work between sports, with expandable drop-down menus to sort between leagues and futures.

Betting Markets

Even for a sportsbook that takes American action, GTBets array of offered betting markets is a little bit disappointing. You will find all of the traditional options including moneylines, totals, team-totals, and sectors. They will have some of the more detailed options like no-score first inning lines for baseball, and period lines for hockey. But overall, compared to the other US sportsbooks, they are lacking in this department.

Livebetting

GTBets’ livebetting system is really nothing special. They will have a decent selection of games each day, which is more than most US sportsbooks offer. They also do not restrict you to commercial betting for most sports, which is a nice alternative but can cause a lot of locked markets. An update to their overall interface would likely lead to a more responsive and user-friendly in-play system. Until then, they will score an average rating in this category.

Quality of Odds

One area that I will give a lot of praise to GTBets is the quality of their odds. You will not find heavy skewing to the square of sharp side, which is an important criteria for users who are picking their one and only sportsbook. Unless you know exactly how to use shifted odds to your advantage (which, if you are reading sportsbook reviews, probably do not – no offense, just being realistic), then its important to have a site that preaches fairness. The odds at GTBets will more or less give you an accurate estimation at where the current market is at.

Deposit Time and Methods

This sportsbook offers a wide range of deposit methods, most of which are processed instantly (or at least much quicker than the estimated time period). Customers can use VISA and MasterCard as credit card options. Users also have the opportunity to use pre-paid cards such as Vanilla-brand cards if they do not want to disclose any of their information online. Individuals who plan to make deposits larger than $200 can use DirectCash and QuickCash. GTBets offers free processing for transactions larger than $200 using the latter-two methods (and a small $10 fee for those that are smaller).

GTBets also offer Skrill and NETELLER eWallet options. This is rare for a US sportsbook, and I commend them for offering them. These methods are very convenient, offering customers a PayPal-like option that ensures online transfer security. Frostbet personally recommends these two methods if you have them at your disposal.

Withdrawal Time and Methods

GTBets offers a wide range of payout options. Some of them have high fees, so its important to make sure you identify a method that you are comfortable with before signing up for an account and making a deposit. Their wire transfers are expensive for casual users, costing $60 per hit. Their courrier check service is currently unavailable, which is a bit disappointing and will cost them some marks in this review until this is resolved. It is crucial for a sportsbook, especially one with predominantly American clientele, to offer checks as they pretty much work for everyone.

DirectCash and QuickCash are also offered, however they request 8% of the payout amount which is a bit ridiculous. The same can be said about their fees for Skrill and NETELLER, which are a costly 10%. If you are fine with those fees, then I suppose those are convenient methods. Its all based on your preference, but I believe there are better options available at other sportsbooks that do not rob you for no reason.

However, HOWEVER, GTBets does offer one payout method that is very convenient and has a low fee. You can use back-to-card transfers to have funds sent back to the credit card that you used to deposit. This is very convenient, and it is processed very quickly. The fees are also very reasonable, which are $15 along with 1.5% of the requested amount. Thats not bad. To summarize, unless you really like one of the previously stated methods, you should only select GTBets if you plan to opt to use this method to receive your funds.

Customer Support

GTBets offers a very friendly customer support staff. They also fill one of my most important service experience criteria, which is offering all three of phone, e-mail, AND live-chat support. I cannot stress how important offering a live-chat system that is open during major sporting hours. Its the most convenient method, and could be the difference whether or not a user feels comfortable using your service.
